waste hierarchy o1

Dang it. When I see the crap piling up in my trash can and see the material excess my family of 5 disposes of on a daily basis, not to mention the endless source of cheap toxic plastic toys manufactured in China and India, single-use packaging, unsustainable construction materials, and hazardous chemicals being pumped out of Shein/Temu/Target/Walmart, into our shopping carts and straight to our curbside pick up only to cram our landfills and clog our oceans… I start to get serious anxiety. So I made this quote ( by folk singer and social activist Pete Seeger ) out of natural gypsum plaster, sea glass, sand, and salt. It outlines the *Waste Hierarchy* and is anchored within my studio to unapologetically confront me on the daily to STOP LIVING ON THIS PLANET AS IF I HAVE ANOTHER ONE TO GO TO.
